Two vaults. One in a granite mountain.
Deposits are held in two physical, US-based vaults, one inside a granite mountain, monitored around the clock. The provider has to satisfy the people who approve the deal, and EscrowTech is the one their legal teams already recognize.
Verification, answered.
The questions licensees, vendors, and their compliance teams ask most often.
What is software escrow verification?
Software escrow verification is the work of checking what a deposit actually contains and how far it would take you toward recovery, from confirming the files are present to proving the software builds and runs. It turns a stored deposit into evidence you could rely on.
Is verification automatic on every deposit?
No. Verification is a menu of options matched to your risk and recovery requirements, chosen per deposit. EscrowTech does not compile and run every deposit by default, and the top of the ladder is never standard or included automatically.
What are the levels of escrow verification?
They form a ladder: deposit inspection, file-listing verification, deposit analysis, build verification, binary comparison, test-plan verification, and a SaaS or technology continuity review. Each level produces more evidence than the one below it, and costs more.
What is build verification?
Build verification is the level where EscrowTech compiles the deposited materials using the documented build instructions to confirm they actually produce the software. It answers whether the source in escrow would rebuild, not just whether files are present.
What is the difference between file-listing verification and full build verification?
File-listing verification inventories what is in the deposit, so you know the files are present. Full build verification goes further and confirms those files compile into working software. One checks that something is there; the other checks that it works.
How do I choose the right verification level?
Match the depth to your risk and recovery requirements. Lower levels suit a record of what was deposited; higher levels suit mission-critical software where you need to know it would rebuild and run. We recommend a level based on what you have deposited and what recovery would demand.
Does EscrowTech offer penetration testing or security testing?
Yes, as a specialized complement to escrow and at the client's direction, not as a stand-alone security service. EscrowTech is an escrow specialist; penetration testing and related evaluation are adjacent capabilities offered alongside a deposit, not a cybersecurity practice.
How long does a verification review take?
It depends on the level. A file listing or deposit inspection is quick; a full build, binary comparison, or test-plan verification takes longer because the materials are compiled and exercised. We scope the timeline to the level you choose before the work begins.
Priced to your risk, no surprises.
Verification starts at $295. Higher levels produce more evidence and cost more, so you know what you're committing to before you begin. See pricing →
