Escrow the model, not just the code.
For an AI system, the source code is the least of it. The value, and what recovery needs, is the trained weights, the data references, and the pipeline that serves them.
A repo recovers almost nothing.
An AI system's value isn't in the source code. It's in the trained weights, the data references, and the pipeline that turns an input into a prediction.
A code-only deposit leaves you with a shell that predicts nothing. And AI platforms fail like any vendor: in May 2025 a Microsoft-backed AI developer that had raised roughly $445M collapsed into insolvency, and its customers lost access.
Say yes without handing over the model.
Enterprise buyers want assurance the model survives you. Escrow gives it without exposing your weights.
Keep the weights
A neutral third party holds the model and releases it only on the conditions you agree to. You satisfy procurement without shipping your weights to the customer. Drafted around your deal, not a template.
A working model
A real recovery path, not a box of files: the weights, the pipeline, and the verification that the model still runs if the vendor is gone.
The whole AI stack.
Escrow scoped to what recovery actually needs, not just the training and inference code.
- Model architecture & code
- Trained weights & parameters
- Hyperparameters & schemas
- Training-data references
- Pipelines: train, eval, deploy
- Prompts & agent definitions

Not escrowed until it inferences.
The hard part of AI recovery is proving a deposited model still works without the vendor's eval harness. Verification is built for that, at the depth your risk calls for.
Verification is chosen per deposit and matched to risk. EscrowTech does not rebuild and run every model by default; the top of the ladder is never standard or automatic. See all verification options →
Documented before the auditor asks.
Procurement and model-risk reviews increasingly ask how an AI dependency survives its vendor. Escrow is the continuity control, and the documented evidence, that answers it.
Two vaults. One in a granite mountain.
Model artifacts run large. Weights are versioned and checksummed, held in two physical, US-based vaults, one inside a granite mountain, monitored around the clock.
Priced to your model.
Starting at $1,595 a year, custom-priced to your model, deposit scope, and how far you verify. Not per seat, not per call, so you know the commitment before you begin. See pricing →
AI escrow, answered.
Common questions from AI vendors and the teams that depend on them.
What is AI escrow?
AI escrow is an escrow arrangement for an AI or machine-learning system. A neutral third party holds the model weights, training-data references, and pipeline, and releases them to the customer only on the conditions written into the agreement.
What does an AI escrow deposit include?
More than source code: the model architecture, trained weights and parameters, hyperparameters and training schemas, training-data references, the training and inference pipelines, and prompts or agent definitions.
How is an AI model verified in escrow?
Verification is matched to your risk, from a completeness check of the deposit to rebuilding the pipeline and running the model against an evaluation set. It is not automatic on every account.
Does AI escrow expose my model weights?
No. The weights are held by EscrowTech as a neutral third party, not shared with the customer, and released only on the agreed conditions, so your model stays protected in the meantime.
Make it safe to depend on.
Tell us about your model and who depends on it. We'll scope the AI deposit and verification to it.
Thanks, we've got it.
