Facilities and "Two Site" Storage

EscrowTech's Office

Canopy Data Center Building
Location of EscrowTech's Offices

EscrowTech's primary offices are in a modern commercial data center - the Canopy Data Center Building shown above - located south of Salt Lake City in the heart of Utah's own Silicon Valley. The Canopy Data Center Building is a "state of the art" facility dedicated by the Governor of Utah in November 2000 and owned by The Canopy Group, a prominent IT venture capital firm whose headquarters is located on the third floor of the building. For administrative purposes, EscrowTech also has offices in Draper, Utah (another suburb of Salt Lake City) and Mesa, Arizona.

"Two Site" Storage of Deposit Materials

EscrowTech provides "two site" storage for Deposit Materials (e.g., source code, documentation, IT assets, inventions, intellectual property and other technology materials) for added retention security at no additional charge!

First Site for Immediate "On Site" Access: Canopy Data Center Building

One copy or set of the Deposit Materials is stored in a dedicated, secure and electronically monitored storage facility within the Canopy Data Center Building shown above. The Canopy Data Center Building features a redundant suite of security systems, including video monitoring systems, man-traps, card-key systems, and a 24 x 7 team of security officers.

Second site for "Off Site" Back Up: Perpetual Storage Vault

A second copy or set of the Deposit Materials is stored in EscrowTech's space within the Perpetual Storage Vault located in Little Cottonwood Canyon near Salt Lake City:

Outside the Vault

The vault is located deep within the Rocky Mountains and combines the natural security of solid granite with advanced man-made storage and security technology:

Inside the Vault

The Perpetual Storage Vault is dedicated to vital record and information storage and has the following attributes:

  • This fireproof vault is constructed of concrete and steel and is drilled into a solid granite mountain.
  • The vault's fire retardant construction is supported by ionization detectors and halon extinguishers.
  • Because the vault is located at 6,000 feet above sea level in a granite mountain, it is protected by its location from floods, earthquakes, fires, and man-made disasters.
  • Because of the vault's location deep within a granite mountain, temperature and humidity remain constant and meet or exceed all federal requirements for archival storage.
  • The vault maintains its own independent power source as well as temperature and humidity control and air filtration.
  • The vault is supported by a 24-hour armed security force and 24-hour electronic surveillance. The entrance to the vault is protected by three separate security gates and a 12,000 pound door.
